Back then we were focused on database design and maintenance for small businesses. But as word about PAR got around, new clients of different sizes and types asked us to work with them. And because many of those clients had needs beyond database management, we added professionals with the right training and experience to address those new and evolving needs. Gratifyingly, as our clients grew and thrived, so did PAR.

Today PAR is an association management company which provides management and specialized support services to over a dozen local, regional and national trade associations and professional societies. For each we strive to achieve the right balance between our clients' internal capabilities and the customized services that PAR seamlessly provides. PAR supplies the professional staff, strategic thinking, organizational support, central headquarters, and technology to ensure associations are sustainable in the new economy. Our team has a diversified background in non-profit management, finance, event / conference planning, advertising, marketing, and business development/management. This allows our clients to focus on their own core competencies while we do what we do best. The result is a balance that they can take right to the bottom line.

An Association Management Company (AMC) is a for-profit business that provides professional management and administrative services to associations. It is important to note the difference between administrative support for an organization and association management.

An AMC not only provides ongoing administrative support for all details surrounding the management of an organization, they offer strategic advice and counsel rooted in their experience. An association management company provides a centralized office that serves as the client association's headquarters. The overhead costs for the professional offices are shared by other association clients at the AMC, increasing their resources and capabilities without major capital investment.
